• Back to the post season

After last years disappointment, the Yankees return to the post season once again.

After a bumpy start, dropping their first 8 to the Red Sox no less, clinching against the same Boston Red Sox winning their 100th game was so much the sweeter.

Clinching home field advantage thru the post season, with the friendly confines of the new Yankee stadium may prove to be a key advantage for the Yankees.

Despite being many peoples pick to get to the World series this year, the bumpy start save many people second thoughts. However, since the All-star break the Yankees have dominated all of Baseballs statistics and look to make a deep run into the post season.

The Yankees 3 starters — likely to be the only ones used in the ALDS — have looked sharp in their starts, and the Yankees can be very happy with their off season moves. The signings of CC Sabathia and AJ Burnett added some much needed star power to the starting rotation, allowing the young starters to develop at their own pace.

Offensively Mark Teixeira has proved to be everything that Alex Rodriguez’s bat needed, who despite an injury shortened season has put up some great numbers.
